Explore Knutsford

Knutsford is one of Cheshire's prettiest market towns, full of character and with many buildings of great historical significance. At the heart of the town, King Street is unspoilt and most attractive, lined with exclusive shops and restaurants which attract visitors throughout the daytime and evening.

King Street leads straight to the gates of Tatton Park, Britain's most complete historic estate and home to major events throughout the year, from the RHS Show every summer to massive outdoor concerts.

A regular farmers' market, local cinema and heritage centre all add to Knutsford's appeal. The Victorian novelist Elizabeth Gaskell grew up here and her books Cranford and Wives & Daughters were set in Knutsford. More recently, King Street provided the perfect setting for shopping scenes from the Channel 4 series Goldplated.

Knutsford railway station, in the centre of town, is on the Chester - Manchester line the M6 and M56 motorways both have Knutsford junctions, and Manchester Airport is just 15 minutes away by car.
