Explore Wilmslow

Wilmslow has become a favourite destination for designer shoppers, with its flagship department store Hoopers and a range of fashion, jewellery and interior design shops, inlcuding Jaeger, Paul Costelloe, Suzy Krakowski's fabulous hat shop, the Aga Shop, the House Shop, and Cottrills Diamond Centre.

With plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes, it is equally lively in the evenings. Favourite places to eat include Heddy's, the Brasserie, Eze, Dune and Samsi Yakitori.

Lindow Man, now in the British Museum, was discovered in peat workings at nearby Lindow Common. The smallest tourism attraction in the country, Romany's Caravan, draws visitors with happy memories of BBC Children's Hour programmes to its site in the town centre. A lovely woodland walk along the River Bollin from Wilmslow will bring you to the picturesque National Trust village of Styal and Quarry Bank Mill, museum of the Textile Industry.

On the outskirts of Wilmslow, at Morley Green the Cheshire Smokehouse attracts foodlovers from far and wide with its fabulous delicatessen, bakery and wine shop, and a cafe which is must be one of the most popular lunch spots in Cheshire.

Accommodation in Wilmslow includes the Stanneylands Hotel, Belfry House Hotel and a number of high quality B&Bs.
